“Since its creation in 1924, racism has played an undeniable role in the history of the U.S. Border Patrol.

This culture continues to impact how officers interact with those they encounter in the field. For years, people have reported being degraded and abused by officers.

And the Border Patrol—now larger and more militarized than at any point in its history—has started descending upon U.S. cities far from our borders.
