On Cesar Chavez Day, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s visited the Delano (and here) in the Central Valley of California, where Chavez’s United Farm Workers Union was headquartered.  A few miles east of the Forty Acres monument, Jill Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom visited with community members.  In a speech, Biden honored the memory of Cesar Chavez, praised the work of essential workers, stressed the importance of the COVID-19 vaccinations, and registered support for immigration reform.
