US Bishops call for ‘humane and comprehensive’ immigration reform

Is comprehensive immigration reform dead?  There has been no movement in Congress for years and things appear no different in the first months of the Biden administration.  If reform is to come, activists will need to continue to push.

As reported by Vatican News, U.S. bishops have renewed “a call for a `humane and comprehensive’ immigration reform that respects the rule of law, addresses the root causes of migration, and simultaneously protects those forced to migrate.”  the renewed call was made on June 15, the ninth anniversary of the creation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy.
