Massachusetts Voters OK Undocumented Immigrant Driver’s Licenses

Steve LeBlanc for the Associated Press reports that Massachusetts voters on Tuesday approved undocumented immigrants obtain driver’s licenses.   Republicans through a ballot measure sought to repeal a law allowing undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.  Voters also refused to repeal the new law.

“The measure became law after the Democrat-controlled Massachusetts House and Senate overrode a veto by Republican Gov. Charlie Baker in June. Republicans pushed the ballot question to repeal the law. Voters opted instead to keep it . . . . “
