More migrants dropped outside vice president’s home in freezing weather on Christmas Eve
As they say, the holidays bring out the best and worst in people. What happened in Washington, D.C. the night before Christmas lends proof to that old adage.
CNN reports on a Christmas Eve story. Several busloads of migrants were dropped off in front of Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence in Washington, DC, last night in 18 degree weather. “A CNN team saw migrants being dropped off, with some migrants wearing only T-shirts in the freezing weather. They were given blankets and put on another bus that went to a local church.” I have to ask: what kind of people would do this to migrants?
Although several governors have engaged in similar cynical publicity stunts in the last year, nobody took responsibility for the latest incident.
Luckily, a community group showed the true Christmas spirit. Tatiana Laborde, managing director of SAMU First Response, said her group was prepared for the Christmas Eve migrant arrivals. Busloads of migrants have been arriving in Washington weekly since April.
