DHS Secretary Defends Record, Resists Calls for Impeachment

CNN reports that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas emphasized the importance of Congress fixing the nation’s immigration system and maintained that he will not resign from his post.

House Republicans have been talking about impeaching Mayorkas, a rare measure targeting a Cabinet secretary.

“I’m not going to resign,” Mayorkas told CNN’s Chris Wallace on “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.”
