As many of you may know, the Governor of Florida has recently been involved in transporting migrants from Texas to California as part of a political stunt. These individuals are currently receiving legal support and other assistance from organizations in California including Sacramento ACT, PICO, California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation, and the FUEL Network.
These organizations along with Immigrant Defense Advocates have partnered to submit a letter to Attorney General Bonta asking him to grant U Visa certifications to migrants who have cooperated with the AG’s office and its investigation into the scheme that resulted in their arrivals to California.
You can review the letter here.
You can sign on here.
We are asking for organizations to sign-on in support of this letter. Please share with your networks. Deadline is 3pm on Wednesday 6/14.
Thank you!
