Sixth bus carrying migrants sent from Texas to Los Angeles
The beat goes on in news from Los Angeles. A bus carrying migrants from Texas arrived in Los Angeles yesterday, the sixth to arrive in the city since June 14.
The bus arrived shortly before 9 a.m., according to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights. Onboard were 23 adults and 13 children ranging in ages from 2 to 17 years old.
A spokesperson for Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said in a statement that the city “has continued to work with City Departments, the County, and a coalition of nonprofit organizations, in addition to our faith partners, to execute a plan set in place earlier this year.”
