Tragic Migrant Deaths off Cape Verde Coast, BBC Reports
The BBC and other news outlets are reporting today on a tragic sinking of a boat carrying migrants from Senegal. The boat with 38 survivors was found off the Cape Verde coast.
The BBC quotes Natasha Tsangarides, Associate Director of Advocacy at Freedom from Torture, commenting: “This devastating loss of life demonstrates the continued failure of the Europe’s hostile approach to refugee protection.”
