In Law360 (“Judge Rules Feds Can Make Migrants Use Online App”), Britain Eakin reports that a federal judge ruled earlier today that a 2022 Supreme Court decision bars a court from ordering the U.S. government to process migrants who show up at the southern border without making a CBP One app appointment first. “Ruling from the bench during a hearing on whether asylum seekers can stop U.S. Customs and Border Protection from turning away those without appointments, U.S. District Judge Andrew G. Schopler said `there is a very clear parallel’ between this case and the facts of the justices’ 2022 decision in Garland v. Aleman Gonzalez.”
