Hate Killing of Palestinian-American Child in Illinois

Tensions are high.  As has happened in the past, hate has come to the fore.  CNN reports that a Chicago-area landlord was arrested and charged with murder and hate crimes after authorities said he stabbed and killed a 6-year-old boy and seriously wounded his mother, allegedly because the tenants are Muslim.

Jill and I were sickened to learn of the brutal murder of a child and the attempted murder of the child’s mother yesterday in Illinois. Our condolences and prayers are with the family.

This act of hate against a Palestinian Muslim family has no place in America.
