New Bill Proposed in California to Allow Undocumented Students to Work on Campus

As we posted previously on the blog, the UC Regents previously considered a proposal to allow undocumented students to work on the University of California campuses. The proposal was supported by a coalition of students and top immigration law experts. Earlier this year the Board of Regents put a pause on the proposal.

As Zaidee Stavely of EdSource reports, the California Legislature is now considering Assembly Bill 2586 which would ensure that undocumented students are eligible to accept employment on campus.
