Center for Migration Studies: Correcting the Record: False or Misleading Statements on Immigration

Immigration is a big issue in the 222 presidential campaign.  Former President Trump is promising more enforcement.  Throughout the campaign, numerous false or misleading statements have been made about immigration. Here are some of the assertions reviewed and rebutted:

Assertion: There are 15-20 million undocumented immigrants living in the country.

Assertion: Immigrants take jobs from US citizen workers, who have lost thousands of jobs to them.
