Immigration visas can take decades. Just ask this Sacramento mother waiting for her son

As immigration attorneys well know, it can take years, even decades, for visas to be issued to lawful immigrants.  Here is one story.  “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services had 391,000 family petitions cases backlogged as of September 2023. For some people, it will take more than two decades to receive their green card.”
