A girl catches her partner cheating. What’s the proper response?

On the one hand, she could call them on their behavior. But, as the girl points out, they’ll just run off into the sunset with their partner-in-cheating.

So, this girl thinks, what’s a more effective way to get revenge?

Ah, she says to herself, my partner is undocumented. If I can somehow get them into Mexico, they can’t come back to the United States to bother me or stay with their cheating partner. I’ll just come up with an elaborate story that we’re driving through the night to get to Six Flags by the time they open (so we can enjoy the full day at the park). He can sleep en route. Except, I’ll just drive into Mexico instead.

If the girl is to be believed–and, sure, all such apocryphal internet “storytimes” must be taken with a grain of salt–her plan worked.

It reminds me of how Mexican actress Fernanda Romero got taken down for marriage fraud by a scorned ex-boyfriend. I always tell my students–never underestimate an angry ex or the disgruntled mom of your noncitizen’s girlfriend.
