U.S. General Accountability Office: Noncitizens in the U.S.: Public Information on Federal Incarcerations
A new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office about incarcerations in the U.S. found a 33% decrease in the number of noncitizens incarcerated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons from year-end 2017 to 2022. During this time, the population count of noncitizens incarcerated by the BOP reduced from 36,000 to 24,000.
