UK Deportations Increase

The Guardian is reporting that deportations from the UK have reached a five-year high. According to the report, “Between 5 July and 7 December 2024, a total of 13,460 returns were recorded, most of them voluntary.” Human rights groups have raised concerns about deportations of asylum seekers whose lives could be at risk.
