Immigrant Activist Arrested and Detained by ICE

The Trump administration’s immigration arrests continue.  It truly is hard to keep up.

CNN reports that an “undocumented mother of four who became a symbol of resistance as she fought for immigrant rights during the first Trump administration is now in federal custody, stoking fear and turmoil among fellow immigrants.”

Jeanette Vizguerra made headlines in 2017, when she sought sanctuary in a Colorado church to avoid deportation from the United States.  For three years, she remained in the church. 

Vizguerra’s activism was muzzled when Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested her at the Target store where she worked.
