Stipulation to dimiss filed today in DOJ case vs. Southwest Key Programs
As I mentioned a few days ago, the Biden-era DOJ brought suit against Southwest Key Programs (the country’s leading provider of shelter for unaccompanied migrant children) looking to hold the company liable for failing to protect migrant children from sexual abuse by its employees.
On Sunday, Bloomberg News said a dismissal was coming. As a reminder, Southwest Key’s attorney told Bloomberg that dismissal was for the best given that the underlying lawsuit would “hobble the administration’s goal of cracking down on illegal immigration.”
Today, the United States and Southwest Key Programs filed a joint stipulation to dismiss pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(ii).
