When an American Town Massacred Its Chinese Immigrants

Michael Luo for the New Yorker reminds us that on September 2, 1885, in one of the most gruesome episodes of racial terror in American history, a group of white miners in Rock Springs, Wyoming massacred at least 28 Chinese residents.
