Champion of Migrants, Pope Francis, Dies

The first Jesuit and first Latin Americans Pope, Pope Francis has died.  As France 24 reports,  Pope Francis “advocated for the rights of migrants, the LGBTQ+ community and criticised a `structurally perverse’ global economic system that exploits the poor. [H]is progressive views . . . . often alienated traditionalists.”  The Pope met with Vice President Vance at the Vatican on Easter Sunday.  Pope Francis had criticized the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
