Congressman denied access to see man wrongly deported to El Salvador

The Hill reports that Congressman Glenn Ivey (D-Md) announced that he was denied access to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, his constituent, during his recent visit to El Salvador. The Supreme Court ordered the Trump administration to facilitate his return to the United States because it wrongfully deported Abrego Garcia there.
Ivey traveled to El Salvador to check in on Abrego Garcia. He was initially held in El Salvador’s most notorious prison, CECOT, a terrorist confinement center, but he has been moved to a lower security prison.
Ivey said in a the video above that he requested the Salvadoran ambassador to a visit but were later told that he needed a permit. ,” Ivey said.
