Amanda Marcotte for Salon (“Kristi Noem’s proud MAGA bimbo act builds on the legacy of Sarah Palin”) thinks that Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security knew exactly what she was doing in flubbing the definition of habeas corpus  in her Senate testimony earlier this week.  

For those who have forgotten, Sarah Palin was Republican John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential campaign.  She sometimes makes the news.
