Deportation Data Project

The Deportation Data Project just posted updated individual-level ICE enforcement data, which now covers Sep. 2023 through Jul. 29, 2025. As before, the dataset was obtained through a FOIA lawsuit against ICE brought by the UCLA Center for Immigration Law and Policy, represented by Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP, and the Law Office of Amber Qureshi.
 
The new dataset includes tables tracking all ICE encounters, detainers, arrests, and detentions. It does not include a removals table because that table contained significant errors. 
 
The Project welcomes thoughts about the datasets and  shortcomings to deportation_data_questions@law.berkeley.edu.
