SHOCKING NEWS: Prosecutors fail to get felony indictment of DC sandwich-thrower
It has been said that a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich. But apparently not a Subway sandwich. Its a fun news day.
In Prosecutors fail to get felony indictment of DC sandwich-thrower in The Hill, Filip Timotija reports on a man bites dog kind of story. I know, lots of mixed (up) metaphors. In any event, “[f]ederal prosecutors failed to secure a felony indictment against a former Justice Department (DOJ) employee accused of throwing a sandwich at a federal law enforcement official in Washington amid President Trump’s police takeover . . . .”
As previously reported on the ImmigrationProf blog, Sean Charles Dunn was charged with a felony in August after allegedly throwing a Subway sandwich at a Customs and Border Protection agent. The incident was caught on video. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Dunn’s firing. It is not likely that he will get his job back.
